Jika tetiba nak tambah luggage AirAsia , tambah makanan or nak bayar bill senang dapat One Time Pin or Tac dr Clicks or Maybank2u. Kalau setakat short trip dekat hotel mesti ada free wifi. Maka boleh beli pass data yang cukup cukup sahaja.
Pertama sekali kena activate roaming.

Kuala Lumpur Train Map Guide for tourist ( MRT/ LRT/ Monorail /Komuter)

pdf : spad

The train main operators  in Malaysia are Myrapid (Kelana Jaya Line, Ampang, Sri Petaling  Line, Monorel, MRT) and KTM  Komuter( Laluan Seremban and Pelabuhan Klang).
You can also plan your journey provided by Myrapid. It will provide you with the nearest station ( under Myrapid) and bus : Plan My Journey :  https://www.myrapid.com.my/plan-my-journey

Besides this website you can also use these apps :
Kuala Lumpur Train Map Application / Subway/ 쿠알라 룸푸르 지하철:
You can use the X to Y function and it will  list out the direction
It seems Go Kl is not available in IOS but you can use this Kuala Lumpur  app for guidance

When you arrive in KLIA / KLIA2 you need to take KLIA Express to City Centre. Our main hub is KL Sentral which allows you to transfer using Kelana Jaya Line, Monorel or Komuter.  If you have been to Korea it is equivalent to Arex. We also have the express train 35 minutes ( non stop direct to KL Sentral ) and the transit train.
Alternatively, without the pass, you can use "Touch N Go" for all Myrapid + Komuter train or bus. This card function is equal to London's Oyster card,  Singapore's Ezlink, S.Korea's T money.
Klia, Klia2  booth location :  www.touchngo. It has some discount instead of purchase by cash.
Example Kl Sentral to KLCC : Touch n Go : Rm2.40 , Cash rm2.20

Without "touch n go" you can still buy a token at the machine or counter.

Alternatively, you can also take a bus from KLiA/ KLIA2 which is cheaper ( only RM10 to KL Sentral from KLIA 2).

Tourist special deal : KL Travel Pass ( 2 days unlimited train rides ( inclusive KLIA Express) .
You can use it to ride any line except KTM Komuter. It is useful if your hotel is nearby Bukit Bintang/ Masjid Jamek or any of Myrapid train station. Tourist spot station : KLCC, Dataran Merdeka

If you  transit in Kuala Lumpur more than 5 hours you can go and explore KL  http://showcasekl.com/ I think this is better than spending time at the airport.
If you are holding GBP or USD it is only GBP20 and USD 24 ( RM100)

Sim Card and Pocket Wifi: Our main telco will be Celcom ( choose this if you are travelling outside Kuala Lumpur and Selangor) Maxis/Hotlink ,Digi  , Umobile  and Tune Talk . Click for traveller package.
Personally, I will choose Digi as it offers 10g  for 10 days for only rm38. However, the Digi coverage is limited in rural area.
Alternatively, you can always share a pocket wifi together. ( if travel  with partner or group) USD6 daily
Pocket wifi You will need the internet to use Google Maps and website above.

Must visit in Kuala Lumpur:

1. KLCC ( Kelana Jaya Line- KLCC) also known as Petronas Twin Tower.
You can visit the bridge of the twin tower. There is a shopping mall in between the tower: Suria KLCC. You can book online Twintowers or you can buy a package with a hotel transfer Klook activity .Tips : Get US$1.3 off your first Klook Mobile App booking with promo code mobile10
Closed on every Monday .

This spot is also cover by KL hop off and hop bus service if you are not a fan on going by train.
They also provide this service in Penang.

2. Architecture fan - Mosque
Masjid Jamek  ( Ampang Line Masjid Jamek) also walking distance to Dataran Merdeka / Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad. Please do note if you tour inside Mosque you need to follow the dress code / long pants and for female ( cover the hair). Usually, the long dress and scarf are provided by the Mosque.

Masjid Negara ( National Mosque) ( It is between KL Sentral and Pasar Seni)
Maybe the best way is to take a cab ( taxi coupon at KL Sentral)  or UBERGrab . There a few cases of taxi rider who does not use the metre or being taken a long distance ride for a short ride. Therefore it is safe to use the taxi coupon. Use Uber or Grab which comes with navigation and estimated fare before booking. It also comes with free ride for first time user or promotional discount. Maybe you can also take the taxi but informed the rider politely that you will also switch on your Google Maps for the best option.

Putrajaya- well it is closer from Klia than City Centre. You can stop at Putrajaya station via KL transit and take a taxi/ uber / Grab to  Dataran Putra / Putra Square.
Take a lake cruise to view Putrajaya cruisetasikputrajaya.com

If you are a Korean drama fan , Putrajaya is one of the shooting location "On the way to the airport / 공항 가는 길" starring Kim Haneul and Lee Sangyoon.

Putra Mosque as background
Masjid Besi /  Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin. Drama is produce by KBS .Screencap via http://www.hanisamanina.com
What I remember the most in the drama is how the father said this almost look like home ( Seoul) eg the Han River ( altho it is actually a lake)  and the Mosque looks like the National Assembly at Yeuido.

3. Batu Caves- Malaysia is a multiracial country. This is one of Hindu's temple. It also has the highest stair. Oh and believe me Ansel Elgort ( Baby Driver, The fault of our stars)  was here!

Use the Myrapid planner from Kl Sentral to Batu Caves

3. Food hunter
Please try this food. You can find it easily in KL.
Roti Canai, Teh tarik ( you have to see the staff in action) , Nasi Lemak and Satay.
Nasi Lemak
Satay- The famous Satay will be Satay Hj Samuri
Station - MRT- Stadium Kajang.

4. Souvenir -  Hard Rock Cafe. There are Hard Rock Cafes in KL, Penang ( with hotel ) and Melaka/Malacca.
Hard Rock Cafe KL ( Monorel - Bukit Nanas or Kelana Jaya Line - Dang Wangi)
It is attached to Concorde Hotel

Chocolate with unique Malaysia taste.
Kit Kat Observatory Midvalley - Ktm Komuter Midvalley or Kelana Jaya Line- Bangsar and take the free feeder bus to the Mall.

You can customize your own Kit Kat chocolate or you can buy special edition Kit Kat here. The flavor changes every month but they still maintain Kit Kat Nasi Lemak.
F-007- Midvalley Megamall. ( 1st floor)

other location :
Sport or concert related venue :
Bukit Jalil Sports Complek ( Sri Petaling Line- Bukit Jalil)

Concert related venue :
Stadium Merdeka : Monorail Maharajalela or Mrt Medeka station
It is used to be the location of Linkin Park and Big Bang's concert. It is an open stadium.
The best part you can view the KL skyline at night while waiting for the singer. The bad part: it might be raining but usually if that happened, the organizer will provide or sell raincoat at the venue.

Stadium Negara : Hang Tuah station or MRT Merdeka Station .
Used to host : Backstreet Boys, 2PM

Stadium Merdeka and Stadium Negara are nearby to each other.
