Seoul in 2018 with AirAsia and Incheon Terminal 2

I am back in Seoul for Wooyoung and Day6!

The flight ticket was expensive but suddenly AirAsia drop the AirAsia Big sale, wait no more- I was able to purchase the flight ticket at half price + baggage.

I stay at Philstay Ewha Boutique . It is my 2nd time there.
- near to the subway ( Ewha) + free breakfast
- all female
- equip with privacy curtain, toilet with bidet
- I always book via Agoda to earn Big points or Traveloka if they offer a discount hehe.
This dorm definitely my favourite. They also accomodate my request to stay at lower bunk :)

Rm15 / day. I chose pocket wifi instead of roaming /sim card as I have Samsung Galaxy Camera. It will be my android backup should my mobile phone out of battery ( especially in winter ). I can still connect with others using message via Instagram and Twitter.

AirAsia flight experience

I am seated at aisle I can go to the toilet easily.I ordered Nasi Ayam , but I think the taste is not as delicious as it used to. I also tried their onboard only sale Onigiri. You can choose a combo set with Miso Soup. This soup is a bit salty but it was the best to warm up your body. The onigiri..is just so-so

What caught my attention is this lucky bag "Fukubukuro". I want to buy it but at the same time, I do not think I will use whatever item inside the bag. I hope anyone can share what they got if they buy this. I also noticed that AirAsia is selling the universal adaptor for rm50. Quite ok if you forget to bring the adaptor. Semestinya paling baik jangan tertinggal barang apa2, tetapi jika tertinggal hah takpe beli atas flight sahaja. Berpengalaman beli kat airport, harganya rm80 sobs.

Reach Seoul at  3pm and my first tour will be the newly open Incheon Airport Terminal 2. You can take free shuttle bus from Terminal 1. This terminal 2 only cater 4 airlines at the moment ; Korean Air, Delta Airlines, KLM and Air France. Shuttle bus is every 5 minutes from Level 3 and it will take 20 minutes to the terminal.

The Arex and Transit Train is also available at Terminal 2 ( which is now the final station )

I also like the fact that there is more toilet with bidet at Terminal 2.

Return flight.
The flight was retimed ( delay 4 hours) . AirAsia offers to change the flight for free or refund credit due to this delay but I just stick to the new flight. They send out email and sms to inform passenger about the change.I cant claim from my travel insurance tho as it is less than 6 hours. Due to a technical issue, a new plane was direct to Incheon to cater Kuala Lumpur route.

I ordered Nasi Lemak and I want to try the Festive Special  Emperor Fried Rice but it was sold out. I guess that is the bad side of seating at seat number 40+.

I discover this plane was used for Osaka - Honululu route from this menu. All in USD okay.

Since my flight will reach around 8pm , I purchase some snack which is Snickers ( I want muffin originally but it was not in stock). I also discover Minute Maid serve with ice is the best combination. Especially after late evening sleep lol.

Kampungku Halal Malaysia Cuisine Myeondong Seoul

This post is going to be in Malay and English to share halal info for all Muslim around the world.

Myeondong adalah salah satu tempat wajib yang dikunjungi jika bercuti di Seoul. Ia adalah syurga membeli belah untuk komestik, pakaian ( stokin 10,000  won dpt 11 ) dan koleksi kpop ( Myeondong underground).

You have not been to Seoul if you don't go to Myeondong. It is heaven for all cosmetic, fashion ( especially the 10,000 won get 11 socks) and kpop lover (myeondong underground)

Boleh cuba makanan masakan Malaysia selepas penat bershopping.

After shopping, you can come and taste Halal Malaysia cuisine , "Kampungku" (Literally mean= My hometown)

Mereka turut juga menyediakan ruang solat.

A prayer room is also available at Kampungku.

Hari Rabu lepas saya telah pergi ke sana ( kali ke 2) untuk makan malam. Namun pada haritu hanya Nasi lemak sahaja yang ada kerana mereka ada masalah dengan dapur.

Halal Kitchen, Seoul

This post will be in Malay and English dedicated to share info for all Muslim in the world.

Terdapat kedai halal baru yang dibuka di kawasan Samcheondong. Kedai ini dimiliki oleh Korea Muslim- Mr Hassan.
There is a new halal Korean cuisine in Seoul owned by Mr Hassan.

Mereka menyajikan makanan halal Korea serta turut menyediakan servis penghantaran.
They also provide delivery service to your hotel.

Saya ke sini dari Running Man experience , berpandukan info Google Map saya boleh menaiki bas no.2 ke sini. Namun direction ini tidak betul . Ini kerana apabila saya buka map kembali dari Stop Anguk Zen Samgeori...jaraknya masih 12-15 minit ( bukan 4 minit) . Berjalan untuk 12 minit dalam suhu negatif bukanla sesuatu yang menggembirakan. Namun begitu pemandangan di sini amat menarik dipenuhi dengan rumah traditional Korea.

I used Google Maps after visited Running Man experience, this is the direction that Google Maps gave me...but this is wrong as the Samgeori stop is still far around 12min-15 minutes. It is negative celsius andwalking for 12-15 minutes in cold is a torture for me. However, Anguk is famous for their traditional Hanok House which is pleasing the eyes.

Berpandukan peta mobile saya pun berjalanlah dengan kelaparan ke  arah Samcheondong. Akhirnya saya bertemu Polis Pelancong dan mereka menunjukkan arah yang sebenar. Paling lucu di pertengahanan jalan ada seorang lelaki yang meyapa saya "Assalamualaikum dan meyatakan dia adalah Korean muslim" saya pun beritahu saya tengah on the way nak pergi cari Halal Kitchen ni. Dia pun balas " Im the owner"! wah nasib baik betul dan menyerahkan saya poskad restauran Halal Kitchen yang disertakan peta.


I  follow the red dots on the maps and reach Samcheondong area. I met a police tourist and they show me the correct direction. On the way, a guy greets me with Assalamualaikum and told me he is a Korean Muslim. " I'm looking for the halal restaurant in this area"..., "Im the owner"....the irony. He assured me the direction again and pass me the postcard above.

Makanan dibahagikan kepada appetizer dan main dish. Tapi orang Malaysia mana ada makan camtukan haha makan appetizer je pun dah cukup kenyang dah sebenarnya. Yang best harga appetizer ni harga mampu milik lol.  Japchae dan Tteobokki 5000 won sahaja. Makanan utama dari 9000 won hingga 15,000 won (Ayam Gangjeong)

Halal Kitchen menu serve the appetizer and main dish. The appetizer is Japchae, Tteokbokki and Kimchi Jeon ( 5000 won each) . Main dish range from 9000 won to 15,000 won ( refer postcard above)


Saya pesan Bulgogi Deopbap sebab lapar sangat dan perlukan protein untuk stamina waktu balik nanti , walaupun mula2 nak makan Japchae sebab terpengaruh dengan Youn's Kitchen haha. Kimchi dan ikan bilis disertakan sekali sebagai hidangan sisi.

I ordered Bulgogi Deopbap with serve with Kimchi and Anchovies as the side dish.

Sedapnya  sehingga licin semua pinggan termasukla Kimchi dan Ikan bilis tadi. Daging yang di perap dengan kicap juga sangat lembut untuk dikunyah.

It is so delicious, the meat prepped with soy is juicy and tender. 

Dari penat dan stress berjalan dalam kesejukan saya terus jadi gembira kekenyangan.

Saya pun meminta bantuan staff bertanyakan arah untuk kembali ke guesthouse. Dia menyatakan stesen terdekat ialah Gyeongbukgung dalam 15 minit berjalan. Oh tidak!...tak mau saya berjalan kembali dalan cuaca begini.Saya pun bertanya mengenai bas,dari simpang kanan terdapat bus shuttle no.11 yang akan melalui Stesen Gwanghamun. (5 minit sahaja dr kedai)

I asked the staff on the nearby subway, which is Gyeongbukgung but it is 15 minutes walk.Yikes! no more walk in this icy weather. I asked for the bus alternative and lucky me, on the right side of the store, there is a shuttle bus no.11 stop which will pass Gwanghamun station. ( 5 minutes away from the restaurant)

Alhamdulillah, bas tersebut juga akan berhenti di Stesen City Hall selain ke Stesen Gwanghamun yang mana satu line dengan lokasi Guesthouse saya ( Ewha Univercity). Jika anda melawat Istana Gyeongbukgung bolehla makan tengahhari di sini. ( Kalau pergi Myeondong boleh makan restoren Malaysia - Kampung Ku ) Next post Kampung Ku!.

The bus( green bus) actually will pass City Hall station too besides Gwanghamun. Yes, as I stay at Ewha University which is on the same line. You can eat lunch here if you are visiting Gyeongbukgung Palace on the same day. ( if you go to Myeondong you can eat halal Malaysia cuisine at Kampung Ku) . next post is Kampung Ku
