The preliminary stage was held on June 30 at Taylor's Lakeside University. A lot of fan come to support the potential Malaysia representative. 13 group and solo was selected for the preliminary stage.The winner in Dance Category is Mad. G. They have participated since 2016 and now they are the winner! They are on fire with WannaOne songs!

The vocal category won by Angelica Paujin,She has appeared on local tv audition-Mentor Milenia as winner before with Akim.
