I manage to visit Uruk- the country which Dr Kang, and Captain Yoo rekindle their sweet love story.
Where is Uruk? Uruk is a fictional country. It does not exist in real world. Although the island feature in drama is located at Greece, the other location especially the power plant is located at Taebaek, Gangwon-do.
Direction to Gangwon:
Dongseoul Bus Terminal ( subway :Gangbyeon ) --> Taebaek (3 hours)
Bus fare : 22,900 won ( one way)
Entrance fee : Free
Once I arrive at Taebaek, the taxi rider (ahjussi) does not know "Taeyangi Huye", the second rider I approach is quite young and he can speak a little bit of English. You need to take a taxi to go to the drama location. The fare start with 3000 won, when I reach the set it is already 6500 won (15 min) . My taxi rider stated it might be hard to get taxi back he said he will wait for me. Ok so I just let the meter running.
There are Medicube, PowerPlant and Taebaek camp. However for the church they only have the cut out.(bummer coz that almost like Greece)
You can also wear Captain Yoo uniform there.

I think I am only here around 30 minutes lol (after that 3 hours journey). When I ride back the taxi metre display 8500 won. Once I reach the Terminal the fare is 13,900 won. My taxi rider is so funny he know I come all the way to Malaysia and play for me a MV from Malaysia singer hahaha ( Lagu KRU ) gelak gila.... He also give me some discount lol ...he just count the final fare as 13,000 won.
My lunch - Sundubu jigae for 7000Won and i comes with so many side dish ! I like.
Bonus: Taebaek special parade on the same day... ( reminds me of Moon Lover Scarlet Heart Goryeo ) lol
I recommend you to go here only if you a true fan on the drama like me lol ( 6 hours on the bas Seoul-Taebaek-Seoul) It will be cheaper if you come in a group for the taxi fare . You can also consider to come here in January for the Taebaek Mountain Snow Festival
Alternatively if you are short of time you can go to the nearer one in Seoul. It is fake Uruk lol . This special set of Descendants of The Sun is located at Level ,3 Doota Duty Free ( next to Doota mall). nearest subway : Dongdaemun History Culture & Park. However the set in Doota is only available till November. Free entrance.

Seeing Song Joong Ki live !
I was lucky, when I was in Seoul there is DMC festival and they host the APAN Drama Awards.
I was at DMC for Got7 performance, only then I knew that the next day they will host Apan too.The DMC festival even have special information counter in English. I ask about the ticket and such but they said it is too late to get a ticket now...they said they will be a red carpet event. I almost squeaking and keep asking " You mean I can see the actor live ? " lol
Song Joong Ki (DOTS) and Lee Jong Suk (W) is one of the nominee...omg my 2 favorite actor!
I came 2 hours earlier from red carpet event and it is raining. Some even said the red carpet event might be cancel too..but thankfully they are not.Staff even bring out umbrellas to escort all the actors.
There is also seller selling rain coat and the price even increase from 2000won to 3000 won.
I q besides Ki Aile ( SJK fanclub) they are really friendly. They offer me a hot coffee and give me SJK photo card. (They ask me earlier who am I waiting for - ofcourse I mention SJK only coz as far as I know multi fandom for local is a no no lol) all this fan is 30's- 40 female(although they are waiting for SJK their phone is their children photo (i took a peek haha)) I felt like the maknae hahaha Its so different when I go for Got7 event coz I am the unnie lololol . I almost feel yeah I should be in this fandom . Well my first influence about Korea is from K-drama-Blamed Rain and Full House for this madness.
I saw Hyeri, Park Min Woo.The rain become worse I cant even feel my leg anymore so I gave up my spot , go to toilet grab a hot drink. After it is drizzle I just go out bam ...crowd is screaming... it is SJK!! I saw Joongki ! that 3 sec really makes me happy lol.
